In the new novel by the #1 New York Times bestselling "queen of paranormal romance," (J.R. Ward) a wounded warrior and a woman on the run find salvation, passion and unimaginable danger in the ghostly darkness of the Carpathian Mountains…

He wasn't civilized or tame. He had his own code and he lived by it.

Monk. Bounty hunter. Vampire slayer. Andre Boroi has spent centuries battling the undead, holding out against the dark with honor. But now, gravely wounded by master vampire Costin Popescu, Andre will be easy to track-his spilled blood marking the killing trail for Popescu and his hungry band of underlings. Andre's only chance is to disappear into the gray mist of the Carpathians. To wait. To hope.

She had a healing touch and a scent that was his lifeblood.

In the mountains in search of a precious crystal, geologist Teagan Joanes suddenly finds herself hunted by those she once trusted. Then she comes across the warrior-wounded, wanting and irresistible. Andre has been craving her for an eternity: his lifemate. Her warmth envelops him. Her scent pulsates. And with every beat of her heart, Teagan surrenders to a passion she can't possibly comprehend.

Now they are bound by destiny, but is it enough to keep them safe from a stalking, relentless darkness that threatens to swallow them alive?

    Another Great Carpathian Novel
If you could sum up Dark Ghost in three words, what would they be?

  2. Armand Dicecco

What happened to the fight for their people’s existence?
Too much unnecessary sex, no real story to keep you interested. Too much inter monologue with herself. She appears to be hopeless within her mines eye, but she’s smart and educated? I thought they were trying to save their people from being annihilated and fighting the wolf’s. Or did I miss that book?

  3. Ervin Lascody

    Loved it!
Can’t get enough of the Carpathians and their life mates. the story line was fast moving, and I hope to see more of the triplets and the ancients.

  4. Rueben Raitz

    Loved it!
I always enjoy Christine Feehan’s books. I’ve also got my husband (avio päläfertiilam—my lifemate) listening and reading. I’d like to hear more of this couples journey.

  5. Ezra Pooser

Not as exciting or as exhilarating as the previous books in the series.
I was excited because this was an interracial book in the series. I was ready and then let down big time. Of course the books are repetitive but word description as well as the plot left me disappointed and unsatisfied… I hope the rest of the series is not going to let me down

    Not my favorite.
I am a big fan of this series but not of this book. I found Reagan very annoying. I grew very tired of listening to her drone on and on about Andre. I did not care for her narrator either.

  7. Shelba Kudlacik

The Heroine ruined this one for me.
The Heroine of this story annoyed me so much that it distracted me from the story. She goes off on tangents, verbally And in her mind. It happened so often I found myself wanting to fast forward through the book. I sure hope this isn’t a new trend.

Wonderful addition to the carpathian series!
I was getting concerned that CH was losing her touch and putting far too much focus on sex rather than creating a good story. While the story isn’t as spectacular as others, it was very well written and kept my interest without me having to fast forward past half the book to get over the over the top sex scenes. They were done in much better taste, and I liked the fact the man had also been virtuous, getting rid of the double standard. Anyways, I can’t wait for the next one!
As always the 2 narrators are spectacular. Voices very well done and totally matched the characters. I really hope they bring the duo back for the next in the dark series, and am more than thrilled to listen to anything else these 2 narrate. Wonderful actors for sure!!

  9. Yasmin Progl

    Another great one
Terrific writing, great erotic sex scenes, I think each new book gets more erotic and I love it. You won’t be disappointed.

  10. Josiah Strand

    Gripping Series
After reading every book in this series I purchased the audiobooks and listened to every book in the series! Anxiously awaiting the next installment.

    Boring and Repetitive
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

  12. Kindra E.

    Narrators on fleek.
Narrators were lovely and helped bring the story to life well. I enjoyed this very much for my first book.

  13. Kaycee Moncrieff

    Mostly sex, to little story
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

  14. Lucina J.

    disappointed
The Ghost had such potential as a character that this story was a disappointment. Christine’s could’ve coupled him with the werewolf he danced with at the party instead she coupled him with an uninteresting unlikable woman. The story moved too slowly and as always came to a screeching halt at the sex scenes. In her other books this is balanced with a good story, which this one lacked. It would’ve been better if she moved the story faster and had them work with the people at the temple. would’ve been a good opportunity to at least introduce more characters. I hope she gets to Gabrielle’s and Gary’s story soon, because if the. next books are as bad as this one this series will get discontinued before we know what happens to them.

  15. Isaiah Printy

    LOVE Feehan
Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Ghost to be better than the print version?

  16. Joycelyn Gambrel

    loved this book
I loved this book but I felt like they spent more time arguing then anything else. I would of like to hear more about the monistary or at the very least have Andre meet the grandmother and explain why she was obsessed with vampires but other than that I love teagins corky side it made her feel more real to me can’t wait for the next one

  17. King Zetina

    wonderful
This is wonderful book and narrated very well. I have enjoyed it start to finish.

  18. Nannette Metsker

    Fantastic!!!
This series just gets better and better with each new book! I love it! Kudos!

  19. Jacqueline

    lacking
book did not include any of the Carpathians from previous books, this seemed out of ordinary since the other books intertwined with each other. The others should have been interjected into this one at least telepathically. Gregory could of came in towards the end as the healer for them both. Hope the next book delve into her meeting the original players and extending the delay to turning to vampire.

  20. Burma Mizrahi

    Fan of early Dark Series…
Narration is very handy. This story leaves a big opening for a follow up. Just a fan of the earlier Dark series, where each novel could stand on its own, with no knowledge of previous installments needed.

  21. Junior Nasers

    Loved this….
I really liked that this was mostly just the two main characters…. it was a great love story.

  22. Willie Garcelon

    love this series
I love reading all of her books. especially the dark series. thank you for service option.

  23. Dick Bajwa

WTF did I just waste my money on?????
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

  24. Tawny Galdames

An author too lazy to write now
This book is one loooong inner dialogue after another. That is almost entirely the whole book. There is no plot, no character development, no interesting dialogue, no real development of scenery or location. Just the heroine talking to herself. Peptalks, scolding, and a lot of gushing about how good looking the hero is.

This is the most boring book I have ever listened to. I got through it by fast forwarding. A lot. I kept hoping to get some more information or meet some secondary characters from the monastery. Aside from a blip of an appearance by one at the end, there was absolutely nothing to relieve the monotony. This book deserves a zero, but not an option.

I believe Ms. Feehan is allowed by her publisher to just write words now, however many she is under contract for. It appears to not matter what she writes, just that she does.

The performance was a little overwrought, but so was the writing, to an extreme degree. I think they did about as well as could be expected for the material they had. There was just nothing there to make it good.

  25. Sandy Shatt

    Loved it
will probably listen to this book over and over again. love it. everyone should listen to this book

  26. Cindy

Good story. i wished it was longer. a couple of
unfinished storylines i had hoped to see a conclusion to.. i suppose it will continue to the next book.

  27. Monique Davine

    Great story
Male/women narrator works great keep them coming. Christine did a wonderful job with the story line

  28. Laurence H.

    Disappointing
I usually love the Dark Series, but this story was the most disappointing. The story didn’t have a lot of action and there love story was just rushed. I wish I didn’t buy it.

  29. Creola Breu

This book is not my favorite
Dark ghost has a story I thought unatractive, boring and annoying. I took a longer time to finish because after the first chapter I wasn’t exicited about it. I just finish the book because I’m unable to agandon a book in the middle – no matter how borring is the story (When I abandon a book, the story is very bad.).
However, this story isn’t bad… just doesn’t bring anything new or importante for the series. Only if the authhour will use what happen on the montains o a future book, but I ddn’t think so. Other prolblem in my opinion is Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross narrative… This couple didn’t work well toghether. I’m sorry, but I really dislike this narrative.

  30. Mana Vatalaro

    Dark ghost , wonderful
I have loved paranormal romance for years, Christine Feehan has always been one of my favorite authors. This service book has kept me enthralled throughout. I hated to see it end and hope there will be a follow up. I would love to see how things go with Grandma Trixie. She who considers herself a vampire hunter/destroyer, coming to find her beloved (newly turned) granddaughter and her beloved( carpathian). I wonder if she has her internet vampire hunting kit with her?

  31. Wilbert Hemingway

    Mesmerizing…Spellbinding
Feehan once again delivers more than what any reader could wish for. The story was sweet sexy the humor alive and engaging. Now I’m wanting the monastery carpathian’s stories…what can I say I’m a huge fan the impossible depth in which Feehan has developed this beautiful race of people with honor integrity loyalty brotherhood sisterhood love action adventure. Each story individually wonderful but when put together from the beginning to now utter magic. There are no words. Don’t even get me started with narrators…Ross her pitch perfect emotions so real and well Gigante I can listen to that man all day and night. If this is your first time hearing one of these stories go back start from the beginning I promise you will discover the wonderful journey a lover of stories could ever hope to imagine.

  32. Modesto Kubert

Read like an OLD Harlequin novel
1st I’m a HUGE fan of the Dark Series, but between the hokey voices & extremely repetitive writing, it was a struggle to finish. There was so much that could have been told & made the story worthwhile; sadly the reader was forced to listen to a California girl with a bad southern accent repeatedly (& I don’t mean 3 or 4 times but over a dozen) go on & on & on about her wonderful family, her fear over EVERYTHING (& no way a chick this spacey is such an independent world traveler), her body & his body, & other inane nonsense. SPOILER:: if she’s such an amazing healer with crystals -how’d that happen? when did she figure it out? why isn’t she doing more healing? How is she doing all this world traveling & living for her next climb (even though anything over 50ft = panic attack still after all this time? What geology job would pay for her part time lifestyle? But no worries now, since he’s more than a millionaire, yep centuries of life & he has billions he doesn’t even care about. Why elude to his special ghost abilities but not give any real detail about his history except his mom was whacked & his dad didn’t give a fig. That’s new twist for the children starved & treasured race. The triplets are mentioned a bit but no sharing of any youthful shenanigans. We hear briefly about monastery but only enough plugs for new book.
Sadly, this book was MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT & didn’t really add to the series which I go back & reread. This one I won’t ever need to revisit.

  33. Jami Fuery

    Where is the plot?????
I typically love this author’s books, however this time I completely miss the climax. The story lacked any depth and it ended so abruptly I was left disappointed.

  34. Ervin Lozo

    Underwhelmed at most
I bought this title because I enjoy reading Christine Feehan books, especially the Carpathian Novels. I kept listening to this one because I kept thinking that certainly, any minute, it was bound to get better. The performance of the narrators was the best they could have done with the material, but the story was repetitive, lacking depth, and I never developed a true interest in the characters. The characters are always the reason I want to read/listen to the Christine Feehan books. I found myself skipping through the book looking for a reason to want to continue. I found myself underwhelmed at most.

  35. Adan H.

The author is always repeating herself in the story
The love the storyline but the female character is always repeating the same thing over and over

  36. Alida Frabotta

    Very good story but
Liked the story and the performance but it was a little too chatty for me. This female character did too much talking that in my opinion did nothing for the storyline. But I still love this series and cannot wait for the next book.

  37. Cynthia Velez

    The ghost was awesome
I loved this book . I m a sister(black) I enjoyed. This book and have listen to it over and over each time I hear something I missed before ,
My only thing is sisters don’t tell their me how beautiful he is over and over, Christine I look forward to a chocolate sister when
    Ever u r ready. I give this book a 5 + .

  38. Barry Contopoulos

    Is she for real…
In general, I liked the book, I wanted to rate it higher because I really love the carpathians, but the lead lady really started to piss me off mid book. I really don’t like the ‘modern woman’ theme that some of these books have. She just got really stupid and whinny when the time for transformation came. I get why there has to be some push back, but did she have to turn into a b*&$%. It got really tedious to listen to. If I was reading the book, I would have skipped over her rant.

  39. Nicky Mach

    Another Christine Feehan hit!!!
I don’t normally use service because I read so fast, but this was truly enjoyable. Excellent narrative skills by both narrators. Christine has done it again in her dark series. Thank you so much to all 3, for a great experience.

  40. Jerlene B.

    sizzling with intimacy.
It doesn’t have as much action as previous books in this series. It is more sensuous and in depth with the telepathy aspect of this people. It touches on more the honor and battle not to become vampire. For those of you who like Charlie Pride and Conway Twitty you will love the male narrator.

  41. J Campbell

    Loved it!
Wish I could’ve listened to it without so many “life” interuptions! really enjoyed listening to the story and the performance!

  42. Nikole Bridwell

    Dark Ghost
She looking for a stone and finds him . She’s had some men after her . He has some vampires to kill . They both have a problem with each task . Come read the book as it is a very good book by Christine Feehan.

  43. Chad B.

Hopefully the next book is better.
Should of pay attention to the other reviews. Not much of a story. Narration good.

  44. Parker Ennis

A nice add on to the series
Although the story was good, I always like it when old characters intermingle with the new characters. I liked that Teagan was strong, but it bothers me that a male forced the relationship even fir a good cause. I am looking forward to seeing more of the Carparthian’s from the monastery.

  45. Michele

    Best “Ghost” Story Ever
Loved it! The storyline (as usual) was sensational. Provides great lead off to new characters and inclusion of supporting ones (vampire watch orgs). The narration was also superb…Phil Gigante is the perfect “Dark” voice. Can’t wait for more tales about the hunters from the monastery…

  46. Lesli Matlin

    the fear thing
If you could sum up Dark Ghost in three words, what would they be?

  47. Doug D.

    Boring
I love that there are male and female narrators. I love Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross’s variances, in the pitch and smoothness of the different character voices.
I would only recommend this book, if you are looking to read redundant sex scenes and it is free or very cheap.
I gave a one star rating for Story because there is no story. The first fifteen chapters out of twenty-one have two action scenes the rest are pretty much sex. Then you get a couple chapters more with some story action. Then more sex, then a finale story action and a final sex scene to end the book. I’m disappointed because I think Ms. Feehan is an excellent writer and storyteller. She doesn’t need to fill her books with sex to sell them. Dark Storm…I was generous with its rating considering it was much the same as Dark Ghost. Dark Lycan, Dark Wolf & Dark Blood were quite good. There was at least a plot/story. Still way too much descriptive sex but more on par with the earlier Dark books, that I would stay up all night reading and could hardly wait for the next book to be released.
This book was not worth the service credit I used for it.

  48. Christal Buzzanca

Excellent as usual! My favorite Narrators, too!
I usually love these books. The story didn’t have as much going on as usual and there was hardly any mention of past carachters this time (the prince, Gregory, etc) – I prefer the books that involve more of the key players in the carpathian race. These are my favorite Narrators ! They get a 5ď

  49. Erin Prizzi

    The Best!!!!!
This is one of the best series I have read/heard. More books like this one is wanted/needed. Keep this Series coming!!!!!

  50. Leigh Cuffari

    Amazing as always!!!!
Another wonderful, amazing, love filled, adventures and funny book . Just like all the rest!!! I love every book in this series plus the many others by this Author!!!

  51. Ewa Ledoux

    Christine did it again
I really loved the fact that Christine focused more on the actual relationship of the couple. I did however miss the longer battles. the narration was great

  52. Phebe C.

    This was the best!
I really enjoyed listening to this. the readers definitely make the characters come to life.
